The Challenge

Build my family a reliable, capable, luxurious and fun vehicle for extended travel in all weather. We need a robust, reliable power system that could sustain our remote work lifestyle. We required consistent internet connectivity across Canada and the World, intelligent climate control, and comprehensive energy management — all while remaining fully off-grid.

The Solution

We designed and installed a complete Victron Energy system paired with a custom lithium battery bank, providing over 7 kWh of usable capacity. The system integrates with Home Assistant for real-time monitoring and automated control of all onboard systems.

For connectivity, we implemented a dual-WAN setup combining 5G cellular with Starlink satellite internet, providing seamless failover and consistent bandwidth regardless of location. Remote access to the vehicle’s systems is provided as well.
